A traumatic brain injury (TBI) may occur at any stage of life and may result from car accidents, sports injuries, falls, etc. Depending on the location and severity of the injury, neurocognitive deficits may range from minimal to severe. Such impairments may negatively impact functioning at home, in one’s relationships with others, at school, and/or at work. Evaluations following TBIs can help to determine the nature and severity of any deficits and how treatment plans may be adjusted to help best match one’s pattern of strengths and weaknesses.
